A Tribute to Our Sweet Boy Barber.
One day back in Fall 2014 Dan saw this picture on the facebooks:
Dan, who had never had a dog before he met me said, "I think this is our dog..." I said, "Okay, let's go..." and we took all the dogs (which at this time included Charlotte, Cheewa and Zeus, the ancient, blind min pin) and Daniela and we went and got him. He needed an emergency foster, he wasn't doing well in the pen, and we knew immediately that he would be our dog.
Supposedly, he had killed a cat.
Supposedly, he wasn't good with kids.
What we found was an old dog who had been mistreated by some dummy and was the most devoted and gentle guy there was. He added so much to our pack and was a big ol' snuggly snuggler. Giving him a good last 4 years was one of the best things we will have ever done.

And then he was gone:

He loved his dog siblings. He loved our son when he was born. He made us laugh a lot.
Turns out, he had spinal cancer, and it took him pretty quick.
Cheewa stayed with him right up 'til the end.

And then he was gone:
We'll love you forever, buddy. See you at the rainbow bridge.
Adopt seniors. Adopt Pitbulls.
Amen.
