Blue Moon Hunters Moon Blood Moon Dying Grass Moon

 I went out and took some photos which I think turned out pretty good considering I was holding Macho's leash.  I feel like this moon is symbolic in all kinds of ways but mostly it's a lotta energy building up to this election. Energy on energy when the stakes are high is a bitch.

I'm taking these with a handheld Nikon automatic zoom camera while holding a MachoDog. Don't judge me.

They call this moon a Blue Moon because it is the second full moon in a month, but this is officially the Hunter's Moon because after you harvest your crops, them quadrupeds come down to eat and they get fat for a month before you shoot them to feed your family. This moon is also called a "Blood Moon" I guess for that reason and I totally get why they're not hyping that name for this moon this year.  Can you imagine if we had been able to have a good, old fashioned Halloween Full Moon Saturday Night? Businesses booming from the Halloween Blood Moon 2020? This year they couldn't market that because some basement dweller incel would decide it's time for the Purge or some shit. Yikes. 

I like the Indian name for it, too - "The Dying Grass Moon"
